GF & EGF mark Spring Clean-Up Week

Berms and alleys are about to look a bit cluttered this week as a lot of homeowners in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks spent the weekend cleaning out garages and attics.  Today (Monday) marks the start of Spring Clean-Up Week.

Residents are encouraged to place extra items where you normally place your garbage and city crews will haul the trash away for free.

Grand Forks held an electronic recycling event this past Saturday.  East Grand Forks will stage a Hazardous Waste and Electronic drop off on May 8th from 9am to 3pm at Public Works located at 1001 2nd St NE.

The Grand Forks Landfill will also have extended hours this week (7am-7pm M-F & Saturday 7am-3pm).

Last year Grand Forks crews hauled away 538 tons of junk and branches.  Residents also directly deposited 72 tons and the landfill.  The 2020 event was moved to September due to the pandemic.
