Summer heat continues to damage roads around the region. While concrete can expand in hot weather sometimes the expansion is so great there’s nowhere for it to go but up. The buckling creates hazards for motorists to navigate. The most recent example of the concrete pops was along Gateway Drive near North 20th Street.
