ND driving test on cruise control towards online

By Doug Barrett Apr 5, 2021 | 7:54 AM

Taking the written portion of your North Dakota driving test could be just a mouse click away. The North Dakota Senate has approved legislation allowing residents the option of taking the test online.

Senator JoNell Bakke of Grand Forks says there is a computer program that would support the effort at a cost of $10 a test.  “The Transportation Committee felt it could be a good option for individuals who find it difficult to gt off work to take a child in for a written test or for those in rural areas where they would have to travel a long way to take a test in person.”

The Senate approved the bill on a 47-0 vote.
